Trailers of this week…

In the past few days, we have seen trailers being released for some of the much awaited movies of 2016. In case you were off the internet for a while, then time to catch up on some backlog.

A) Assassin’s Creed

The movie adaptation of the famous video game had been in the works for so long in the past that there was an apprehension it wouldn’t work out at all. Within a few seconds of the trailer, it feels too good to be true! Director Justin Kurzel and actor Michael Fassbender have gotten together again after Macbeth to create this visually appealing movie that narrates the story of a Callum Lynch who learns he is a descendant of a secret Assassins society. He explores the memories of his ancestor from 15th century Spain and gains the skills of a Master Assassin. The movie also stars Marion Cotillard, Jeremy Irons and Brendan Gleeson.

B) Inferno

Based on Dan Brown’s latest novel, Sony brings the third film of the Robert Langdon series. Tom Hanks is back in the role of the famous professor who once again has to hunt through the secrets of Europe to avert the spread of a deadly virus. Ron Howard is directing this movie too. The movie also stars Felicity Jones, Ben Foster and Irrfan Khan. The trailer launched recently is only a teaser which may not be satisfying to all; I expect the upcoming trailers to be more enjoyable.

C) The Accountant

The Accountant is a R-rated drama film about a math genius who gets on well with numbers more than people. He has dealings with some dangerous criminal organizations which gets him on the radar of the  Treasury Department’s Crime Enforcement Division. Ben Afflecks stars as the genius accountant while the movie also has J.K. Simmons and Anna Kendrick. The movie has been directed by Gavin O’Connor (Miracle, Warrior). It’s quite a well-pieced together trailer that deserves more than a single watch. Enjoy the trailer here!
