This sequel is not simply Taken 3, as it should have been, but the name has been twisted around to come across as Tak3n which is irritating and nothing else. Irrespective of the fooling around with the name, there is no fooling around with Liam Neeson’s character, Bryan Mills, as he sets out to right the wrong once again in the way that suits him.
Who’s been taken: No one this time. It rather seems to be a movie in the style of The Fugitive where Liam Neeson has been wrongly accused of murder. Whoever has done this, he has messed with the wrong guy. For Liam Neeson has a certain set of skills… and we all know that story, right?
Who is the director: Oliver Megatron continues his directing duties after having overseen Taken 2 in 2012. He’s worked on Colombiana and Transporter 3 in the past, so he does know his action sequences.
Who else is cast in the film: Famke Janssen and Maggie Grace reprise their roles as wife and daughter of Bryan Mills, respectively. The interesting addition is that of Forest Whitaker who seems to be the Tommy Lee Jones to Liam Neeson’s role of Harrison Ford (we are referring to The Fugitive, of course).
Where to watch the trailer: Right here! There is nothing further to know about this movie. It’s going to be a high intensity fast-paced movie with the much awaited Liam Neeson dialogues (this one has something like “My first priority is to protect the only one I have left”). Enjoy the trailer!
Taken 3 will release on January 9, 2015 in the USA.
